Geneva, 22nd May 2019: WYVERN Ltd and AeroEx GmbH have agreed to join forces to promote excellence in aviation auditing services by creating the first of a kind global standard for selecting, training, and qualifying safety auditors for the aviation industry.
The program will be completed before the end of this year and will provide meaningful guidance and requirements for the entire process to include selecting the right auditor candidate, initial training, accreditation, recurrent training, and professional development.
The new global standard will also address key topics such as leadership, ethical behavior, effective communications, analysis techniques, and interview skills. These soft skills are important for a safety auditor to identify vulnerabilities and weak hazard barriers in an organization.
“We see the need for creating this standard since the current related information in our industry is fragmented and lacks robustness in the contemporary art and science of aviation safety auditing”, WYVERN CEO, Sonnie Bates said.
AeroEx Managing Director, Joel Hencks stated, “This new global aviation auditor standard will ensure that aviation safety auditors are selected, trained, qualified and competent in a way that promotes and ensures effective and professional auditing practices.”
