NASHUA, NH (Aug. 19, 2024) – WYVERN, an international leader in aviation safety and risk management, is launching a new WYVERN Way of Safety podcast series. The WYVERN Way of Safety podcast series is designed to elevate aviation safety with support from WYVERN team members and other aviation industry experts who share their stories and insights on a wide range of relevant safety topics. Be on the lookout for announcements about upcoming episodes!
WYVERN chose to announce this new podcast series to coincide with National Aviation Day, which is celebrated every year on Aug. 19 and recognizes the birthday of aviation pioneer Orville Wright. On Dec.17, 1903, Orville flew the Wright Flyer for 12 seconds and traveled 120 feet before landing. The aviation industry literally took off after this first successful flight.
“Former U.S. Air Force C-130 Navigator and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rated Pilot Trent Corcia is our host. Trent joined WYVERN earlier this year as our vice president of operations support. We are delighted to have our dear friend, Marcela White, as our first guest. We are excited about producing the WYVERN Way of Safety podcast. This podcast series is one more way that we are demonstrating our commitment to adding value to our current and prospective customers. When thousands of us collectively increase our focus on safety, everyone wins,” commented Sonnie Bates, WYVERN chief executive officer.
When recording the first episode recently, White, who is a co-owner of Houston-based Tavaero Jet Charter, Corp., shared her perspectives on several relevant topics: implementing a safety management system, fostering and maintaining a strong safety culture, and ways to get SMS buy-in from upper management and/or owners. Tavaero Jet Charter recently earned the WYVERN Wingman PRO designation by achieving excellence through its ongoing participation in WYVERN’s Flight Leader Program.

“I am honored to serve as a guest for this podcast series. I am extremely proud of every one of our Tavaero team members on the ground, in the air, and in the office who ensure the safety of all aspects of our operations.
