Nathan has over 10 years experience as an aviation safety and best practices auditor. He is an active IS-BAH and IS-BAO auditor with Fixed Wing, Rotor Wing, Operations, Maintenance and Advanced SMS credentials. He earned his helicopter Auditor Certification from the Helicopter Association International in June of 2013.
Nathan has extensive leadership experience in business aviation operations and safety risk management, serving as an International Jet Captain and Safety Manager for a major corporate flight department in the Midwest for 13 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP). He is a co-founder and Executive Partner of Mentair Group LLC. He also founded and served as President of an aircraft management company that managed and operated aircraft for Pennfield, Methodist Healthcare Systems, Inc. and various other companies in the Omaha area.
Nathan is certified as an International Certified Registered Safety Professional by the ISSP with endorsements for Safety Management Systems, Auditing Programs, Internal Evaluation Programs, and Aviation Safety Program Management. He is also certified by the US Department of Transportation to instruct courses in Safety Risk Management and Safety Management Systems at the Transportation Safety Institute (TSI).
